Clinical Relevance of R2* Quantification
MRI-based R2* quantification can be useful for diagnosis, quantitative grading, and treatment monitoring of hemochromatosis and other conditions characterized by the presence of high iron in the body. However, quantitative iron metrics must be both accurate and reproducible. Calimetrix R2* phantoms are designed to aid in assessing both accuracy and reproducibility.
